Since winning the prestigious 'Creative Scotland' award in 2001 guitarist Kevin MacKenzie has become one of the busiest musicians north of the border, dividing his time between overt jazz projects such as the Scottish Guitar Quartet and Trio AAB and more traditionally-orientated work with the likes of Finlay McDonald and Shetland fiddler Jenna Reid.

This versatility has also seen him in great demand in the recording studio, with participation in something like 50 albums ranging from an early appearance with Scottish pop duo Hue and Cry through to 'East of 7th Street', recorded in New York with a quartet of leading local musicians.
