Born in Stavanger, Norway, Petter Frost Fadnes moved to Leeds in 1996, and remained for around a decade, first as a student and then as a teacher. During that period he became very active on the local music scene, and was a co-founder of LIMA (Leeds Improvised Music Association). He has now moved back to Stavanger, where he is Director of Studies (Jazz) at the university, but reurns frequently to the UK to perform with several bands, including The Geordie Approach (with guitarist Chris Sharkey) and The Thin Red Line (with drummer Paul Hession).
