'Versatility' ought to be Dave Priseman's middle name. Best known as a trumpet and flugelhorn players, he also works professionally as a drummer, electric bassist and guitarist, and has even been known to provide backing vocals at recording sessions! The range of musics in which he performs is equally diverse, from swing through R'n'B to punk, but it's contemporary jazz that is his first love, and he has made significant contributions to the work of such innovative figures as Keith Tippett, Paul Dunmall and Trevor Warren.
