Largely self-taught as a guitarist, Trevor Warren's development as a jazz player was considerably influenced by John Etheridge, and he shares something of Etheridge's virtuosity over a wide range of genres, from jazz-rock through to world music. Living for much of the year in Spain (which accounts for his relatively low profile in his UK homeland), he has also increasingly absorbed elements of traditional Spanish music into his playing and his distinctive compositions.
