While increasingly building her reputation as an accordionist (most particularly with her quartet 'Accordion Crimes'), Karen Street is also a highly accomplished reeds player, working in a wide range of musical projects across classical, contemporary and jazz. In 2006, for instance, she was in Newcastle working with the Royal Shakespeare Company. On the jazz front, in addition to her accordion-led band, she has worked regularly with Mike Westbrook and Tim Garland, and was a member of the popular all-female saxophone quartet 'The Fairer Sax'.
