The young Boston-based trumpeter Jason Palmer made a big impression when he came to Live Theatre with Michael Janisch in September 2009, reinforcing his growing reputation as one of the most original voices on his instrument today. Back in the States he has played with a whole host of great musicians from veterans such as Roy Haynes and Benny Golson through to younger stars like Ravi Coltrane and Matana Roberts. He is currently the regular trumpeter with the band of guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel.
